To ease the misery of the poor...

We appreciate the remark by Mr. Ratan Tata, "We are doing little to ease poor's misery."
The Times of India dated May 23, '11.
The disparity between the poor and the rich is growing day by day. Each of us should express concern over this problem. The problem can be solved if the persons who can afford to solve it take it to their heart in real sense. If we wish to do it away but do little to solve the problem, it would remain as such.
Our Trust is of the opinion to form groups of persons who can contribute a bit of their wealth for the cause of educating the poor children. It would be a positive step to eradicate the gap.
The comments of the people are invited over this remark so as to awaken the general public at large.

  1. The poor are leading a miserable life indeed...

But you will be amazed to know, they have this sense of happiness inside them. They have nothing to lose, so they are just living in their skin, happy with what they have, but yes definitely, they also long to sit in big cars. They also feel delighted when they see aeroplanes in the sky, they also want to watch movies in multiplexes..etc etc.
Its just that, they have something, which we must learn from them. "Utney paon pasariye jitni chadar hoye" I have kind of tried to over-hear these children's conversation and found out that, they have so deeply in them, this sense that they are not eligible of dreaming. They understand very well the way they are born will be the same way they will die.. in misery and poverty.
A very few among these kids have the ability or rather capability to fight out and win. Amongst these few, a very large percentage end up becoming dacoits, thieves, beggars or terrorists. Their dream of becoming Rich lead them to such a jungle from where they cant even return.

So, people like my Grandfather, who are doing their bit to shape up the lives of these children in a decent direction, are doing a wonderful task. Cos Education is a bright ray of sun which can lead these children into a beautiful garden and not a jungle!

Dadu, I understand your feelings and I hope everybody understands what you are doing!

(I am sharing a link of this blog on my Facebook account. Hope it might help you in some way or at least my friends will acknowledge the thing you are doing)
